8 QUESTIONS, 1 CREATIVE MIND
Today we chatted with LA-based wellness & health guru, Jessie De Lowe, during her most recent stay with us at San Francisco Proper, and spoke about her views on the future of the wellness craze and her infamous Manifestation Sessions.
Where do you live and what do you do for a living?
I live in Santa Monica, California and I wear many professional hats! Co-founder of lifestyle brand and website How You Glow, Art Therapist, Yoga Teacher, Manifestation Coach and Wellness Consultant.
What does a normal day look like for you?
Every day is totally different, which is part of the reason I chose my career path. I love to mix things up so I never get bored. My day always begins with a shower and skincare routine, which has become a daily meditation of sorts since having a baby. I make breakfast for my husband Brian and I, which we eat together with our nine month old daughter, Amelie. I hang with Amelie until her morning nap and then the work day begins. I typically have a few Manifesting Sessions per day, as well as various meetings/events/features around LA for How You Glow. I also try to squeeze in a yoga class at YogaWorks at lunch time as often as I can and I almost always head down to the beach for a sunset walk with Amelie before dinner.
As you travel a lot, what are your top 3 ‘must haves’ when traveling?
3. Lunya Romper
We heard that you provide Manifesting Sessions, most recently, Manifesting Love workshops. What does one of these workshops entail and how can people become apart of them?
Yes, my Manifesting Sessions take place over the phone with people from all over the country and the world! I assist clients in creating clear intentions and from there, act as a guide in helping them to hone their energy and step into one’s highest reality, unblocking anything perceived to be in their way. These sessions are highly individualized and vary depending on the needs of the client. The group Manifesting Workshop is a powerful and special experience to share with friends/ coworkers/ business partners/ family members etc. It is a multi-sensory experience involving movement (some gentle yoga), aromatherapy, journaling, a guided meditation for manifestation and art making. People can book with me directly by reaching out on instagram or through email.
As you are in the realm of health and wellness, and it seems to be becoming more mainstream in today’s culture, where do you see this heading in the future?
Wellness is the future!! Pretty soon wellness is going to be cleverly woven into all aspects of life, instead of being its own category. I think technology and wellness are going to collide in a major way, which is going to have many pros, and probably some cons as well.
What is your favorite social media platform?
Instagram – it’s the only one I use.
What are you currently listening to on your playlist?
Lastly, what is your favorite thing to do in your hotel room?
