Labor Union Strike

In anticipation of your arrival, we wanted to make you aware of an event that is temporarily impacting hotel services across the greater Los Angeles region. The largest hospitality labor union in Southern California, with more than 15,000 of its members, is engaged in a labor strike intended to affect services at dozens of hotels in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, Santa Monica Proper is one of the many hotels affected by this strike.

We respect the rights of our hardworking staff to voice their concerns. And, like many other hotels in Los Angeles, we are diligently working with the labor union to reach a resolution as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we’re making every effort to minimize any disruptions, with temporary staff in place to maintain service standards, while ensuring the comfort and safety of guests across our hotels.
