Pilates Reformer

A combination of pilates and stretching. It supports and enhances overall fitness, as well as your daily activities. Pilates focuses on improving core strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance in the body along with strength and flexibility in the back and spine.

Yoga

Yoga is a form of non aerobic exercise that uses precise posture, breathing exercises & meditation. In ancient Sanskrit, the word yoga means “union.” Yoga is promoted as a system of personal development. It is a way of life that combines ethical standards, dietary guidelines, physical movements, and meditation to create a union of mind, body, and spirit. Yoga is said to cultivate prana, which means vital energy or life force and is similar to qi (or chi) in traditional Chinese medicine. Yoga is claimed lead to a state of greater physical health, relaxation, happiness, peace, and tranquility. There is evidence that shows that yoga can lower stress, increase strength, and provide a good form of exercise. Saracen Wellness can tailor group classes to practice

Guided Meditation

Meditation is a practice in which the mind can be guided to induce a heightened sense of well being.

The term meditation refers to a broad variety of practices that includes techniques designed to promote relaxation, build internal energy or life force and develop compassion, love, patience, generosity and forgiveness. The word meditation carries different meanings in different contexts. Meditation has been practiced as a component of numerous religious traditions and beliefs. Meditation often involves an internal effort to self regulate the mind. General meditation guidance includes an introduction, deep breathing exercises and the use of repeating a mantra, or small saying while closing the eyes. The combination of these efforts brings deep relaxation and peace and its practice can be performed anywhere.
