Our Junior Suites are about a third larger than our Premier King rooms, meaning more space to spread out, and maybe even work out. Anchored by a made-in-California bed dressed in crisp Italian linens, with one-of-a-kind rugs and sophisticated furnishings courtesy of designer Kelly Wearstler. Accessible rooms available.
302 square feet / 374 square feet | 28 square meters / 35 square meters
A Proper night’s rest is paramount. We’ve sourced handmade-in-California Aireloom mattresses and dressed them with Bellino Fine Linens, hypoallergenic pillows, fluffy down comforters and Kelly Wearstler.
Our classic bath features tiled walk-in showers, Aesop amenities, Bellino Fine Linen towels, and Kelly Wearstler-designed kimono-style robes. Missing an essential grooming product? Many are available via the Proper app on the in-room tablet.
Embracing how we live and work at home, a window settee and white marble table replace the outmoded hotel desk with a spot to stretch out with a laptop, make calls, or relax over dinner. For friends, families, and co-workers, the 7th floor Junior Suite connects to the Living Room for entertaining. The Living Room is ready for presentations, breakout cocktails at the wet bar and high table, or catching the game on the 50-inch HDTV.
Blazing fast complimentary WiFi, bluetooth speakers and 50-inch HDTVs with 1000+ apps, and the added bonus of the Proper app, a virtual concierge located in the in-room tablet, ready to help facilitate any request, any time.
All rooms feature a thoughtfully curated minibar, but for a Proper meal we offer 24-hour room service for breakfast, lunch, (brunch on weekends), dinner and late night dining as well as snacks and small bites.
Confident, artful, with strong floral wallcoverings and designed with company in mind, the premier suites, 550 square feet each, are where to stay when you need a separation of space for an office, living room, or temporary headquarters.
Proper began as a feeling, not as an idea. The feeling was something akin to empathy; an acute awareness that despite the current proliferation of “boutique” and “lifestyle” hotels and residences, there were precious few properties designed for and around today’s global creative nomad. Many in our milieu share the same daunting challenge: staying fresh and focused, energized and inspired—all whilst bouncing between London and Hollywood and Austin and San Francisco and Portland and back again. For them, intuitive service is a given. Mere table stakes. What they need and seek beyond accommodation, even at its most luxurious, is an inspiration. From the elevated and often surprising interiors imagined by Kelly Wearstler. From the sense of immersion in, and connection to, the vibrancy of the local culture. From the highly curated amenities. From the inspired collaborations with the city’s best and most innovative chefs and mixologists. From music and art. From every detail, every interaction, every moment. This is only Proper. And no one else.
